Hausmatter Interiors Fall 2019 One Room Challenge Week Four

Welcome to week 4 of the One Room Challenge!

Last week you heard me griping about finding a rug for my space. I must have looked at hundreds. HUNDREDS! I have what I now have termed, “click finger”. It is an ailment one acquires from clicking on the computer mouse too many times. It’s a thing. But don’t look it up.

You are probably waiting to see the rug? So am I lol! It arrives on Friday and I don’t know if I will be able to sleep until it does. Let’s just say, I had a safe option and a risky option. Can you guess which one I chose?

Now, if this was for a client, I would have time to order samples and really put thought into each decision I made for the room. BUT, I didn’t know I was doing this challenge until the week before it started. I really didn’t even have an ounce of an idea for this space, so this room is really coming together in real time.

I’ve been so thrilled to be able to work with some great sponsors on this project. Many of them are female owned and make the items by hand. Check out this amazing runner by Celine and Kate

I also received the most gorgeous pillows from Spark Modern. I love the jade color with the citron chairs.

Look at how stunning!!!

Since most of what I planned to do in the space has been finished, I’ve taken the time to bring some new life back into my table. Fancy polish? Nope! Good ol’ mayo does the trick!

I can’t stand to eat the stuff, but it works like a charm at repairing and preventing water stains. And no nasty chemicals!

You can see here where I used it on half of my burl wood table…

Now if only I could get my dog to stop licking the table 😂

This week, we also hung the beautiful, lemon prints from Belle Botanica

I still can’t get over how stunning this light from Illuminate Vintage is in this space. It’s brings a much-needed, modern element to the space.

I mean WOW 🙌

I also have one more sponsor I am eager to introduce you to next week. Trust me, it’s going to be good!

This week, there are a lot of finishing details to put together, and of course, the RUG. What do you think? Do you want to be surprised or should I share a peek of it next week?

Until then, please take a moment to see what all the other fabulous designers are up to at the One Room Challenge Blog

And take a moment to check out my amazing sponsors!

XO,

Katie
