ONE ROOM CHALLENGE SPRING 2022 HAUSMATTER INTERIORS OFFICE/PLAY ROOM WEEK 3
Welcome to week 3 of the One Room Challenge!
In case you missed it, here’s:
Week 1 (before and moodboards)
Week 2 (picture moulding)
This week, I got to try out Clare Paint for the first time, and I must say, I am hooked! Using Zero VOC paint has always been a priority to me, but the options are so limited. So I was thrilled to find Clare paints, and their expertly curated assortment of delicious colors.
Before deciding on the paint color, I was able to try out a peel and stick sample of the color to make sure it worked for me. In the end, the sample was an exact match the wall color so it really helped give me a sense of how it would look in the room.
The best part? Everything you need will arrive at your door! I loved that there was no need to make a special trip out to my hardware store to pick up supplies. I used the 7-piece paint roller kit to get the job done like a pro.
Now let’s talk about the color. I chose "Views”. It’s a minty aqua that feels soothing, but also reminds me of something nostalgic from my childhood that I can’t quite put my finger on. It feels like a double scoop of mint ice cream on a Summer day. And I love how it almost feels like a neutral supporting pops of bright reds and pinks in this room.
The coverage is amazing. I normally need 2 gallons to cover this room, but I didn’t even use an entire gallon! So keep that in mind if you are ordering; a little goes a long way.
It rides the line between blue and green in a way that makes it a versatile color for so many spaces. In north facing rooms, it will appear more blue, but you’ll notice the green more in a sunny room.
It’s slightly darker than the previous color in this room so I’m enjoying the added dimension it brings to the picture moulding.
That’s all for this week! Be sure to check out the other One Room Challenge participants for loads of inspiration.
