Asheville Airbnb
I’m so exciting to be working on a new project in Asheville NC. This design is for a client who would like to use the space as a therapy office during the week, and an AirBNB on the weekends. I think these two can function in the same space beautifully.
After meeting with the client, and better understanding his needs and preferences, I put together this handsome, mid-century modern inspired mood board. To maintain a sense of calm in the space, we are going neutral on the walls and floors. To bring in some MCM flair, I’m suggesting pops of vintage greens and rich blues.
Since it is not yet legal to have a kitchen in an asheville airbnb, we are opting for a custom, built-in coffee station where guests and clients can find refreshments.
We are planning to install two shelves over a desk for sitting, similar to this arrangement.
Since we are going neutral with the wall colors, I’m layering on the texture by using grasscloth on the bed wall and a thick, durable wool rug on the floor.
We will also be piling on organic textiles and luxurious cushions.
This client has been so much fun to work with. I can’t wait to see this room come alive in January!
Until then…
XO,
Katie
