I free hand a lot of this stuff and rely on a ruler a level to repeat the pattern. If this overwhelms you, keep it simple design - wise. Trace over the wall with a pencil and tape overtop.

Tips and Tricks

  • stick to washi, masking and painters tape because they can be removed easily with no residue. Avoid, packing, electrical, duck tape etc.

  • need inspiration? start looking at wallpaper. Anything geometric can be duplicated with tape!

  • just like wallpaper, you want to make sure your walls are clean. Go over them with rubbing alcohol prior to application.

  • avoid areas with high humidity, like bathrooms with showers.

  • This will not work on walls with a lot of texture. The smoother, the better
